Description		The Company Design and Manufacture products for a diverse range of market sectors. The Applications Engineering Department provide customers and the Sales Team with comprehensive first line applications and design support. This position exists to strengthen this Division and raise the profile of its Engineering operations. International travel is unlimited within the scope of the role. The Role You will support the development of new and existing business with key accounts and distributors, as well as capitalising on new market opportunities, in line with corporate objectives. Typically, you will design mechanical components, electro-mechanical products for medium to high volume programs, for the Telecom and Electronics industries. These designs will be from concept, through to production, using all resources at disposal in accordance with Lean principles. You will also collaborate with Marketing to identify future product application trends and new market opportunities provide technical support for projects for both internal and external customers. The Candidate You will be educated to degree level in Mechanical or Electronic Design Engineering, with proven ability in a similar role and environment. The individual should be enthusiastic and capable of operating in a fast-paced, often highly pressurised multi-task environment. The jobholder should be competent and experienced in 3D CAD, (Inventor suite experience is preferred), Microsoft Office applications and must be comfortable using Lotus Notes databases. An understanding of Thermal material technology would be advantageous, as would proficiency in a second European language. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills at all levels and across international boundaries are essential. The Package The minimum salary offered for this position is �21,000 pa however the client may pay up to �23,000 pa to a candidate that can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
