Description		Position: Microwave Assembly Technician Salary: �20-24,000 Location: Bedfordshire, Luton, Dunstable, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead Apply to: a.ross@jamjobs.co.uk This is an excellent chance to join one of the UK�s leading Defence businesses operating at the forefront of global technology across Land / Sea and Air Electronics Systems and Equipment You will be responsible for the assembly of Hybrid chips, wiring of Microwave assemblies and integration into Microwave modules. These modules can be new products, existing product upgrades and repairs. This product range requires skills in manual surface mount assembly, RF substrate assembly, manual gold wire bonding and half and full module assembly and flexi and PEC soldering Key Responsibilities Delivery of assembly tasks within timescales and to good quality level Pro-active communications with design teams on assembly problems relating to new and legacy products Maintaining clean room disciplines in carrying out tasks The role involves working within a clean area environment handling small piece parts. The majority of work will be performed using microscopes. Small piece parts generally handled using tweezers and vacuum pick up tools. Experience required includes PEC surface mount assembly, Bare chip attach and gold wire bonding, Wire harness manufacture, Integration of electronic sub assemblies into microwave modules.
