Description		My client is a world class engineering technology consultancy, and are one of the UK's biggest providers of systems and engineering technology. They provide independent, impartial advice to customers in the defence, power and energy, civil aerospace, rail, marine and industrial sectors. Job Description We have a number of vacancies for Junior and Senior Engineers with an in-depth understanding of Fluid Dynamics and/or Heat Transfer as well as strong CFD engineering skills. The work is varied and challenging and may include design, R&D or safety case support across our entire range of markets. These vacancies would suit recent graduates, PhDs or more experienced engineers. Requirements MEng (Upper Second or First Class) or PhD in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Marine etc.) Chartered Engineer or working towards CEng status Experience in the application of CFD modelling to engineering problems Experience in one of the markets in which the company operates would be a distinct advantage Essential Skills A good understanding of fluid flow and/or heat transfer processes. Ability to apply mathematical and computational analysis to solve engineering problems. Person Specification A bright, enthusiastic individual with a flexible approach who can apply their skills to a wide variety of problems. Able to work in a team and take responsibility for their own work. Good written and oral communication and able to deal directly with clients. Training Training will be given in relevant design and analytical tools where required. We strongly encourage staff to work towards Chartered status and will provide MPDS mentoring, training and experience as appropriate to support this. To be considered for this position you must be eligible to obtain British security clearance; this means you must have been in the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years, or if a British citizen working abroad it must have been with a company registered in the UK. Locations Surrey, the South West, Cheshire, Staffordshire & Scotland
