PLEASE NOTE: CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR THIS POSITION WILL NEED TO QUALIFY FOR FULL UK SECURITY CLEARANCE AND SHOULD THEREFORE BE OF BRITISH NATIONALITY AND CURRENTLY RESIDE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM Brief Job Description: � Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the Procurement Representative will manage and provide a cost effective procurement service to all internal customers for the defined categories. � Assist in the implementation and management of strategic sourcing strategies and supplier agreements that maximize the business benefits within the defined categories � Undertake category management and other procurement activities by applying best-practice processes, tools, and techniques, in accordance with procurement procedures � Develop and maintain a number of suppliers to become best practice sources and reduce the supply base in line with category strategy � Evaluate and measure supplier performance in accordance with procedures and make recommendations on key performance indicators and performance standards � Undertake spend analysis, supplier assessment and supplier selection to agreed processes recommending vendor selection criteria to identify sourcing options and supply alternatives � Negotiate up-to-date agreements and best purchasing terms for individual or blanket procurements � Manage relationships with suppliers on behalf of the company, to support current and future requirements, which will include the development and maintenance of global partnerships in the supply base � Responsible for aspects of cost management, including ensuring that sourcing targets for benefits are agreed and met � Secure and measure cost saving opportunities documenting all negotiated savings Essential Experience: � Extensive general background in category-based purchasing with significant experience in strategic category management of site services, capital services or IT/computing categories � Knowledge of strategic sourcing/commodity/category management methodology and best practice procurement techniques � Excellent commercial skills with the ability to analyse and negotiate supply agreements and manage complex commercial relationships � Highly data literate with strong analytical skills � Highly motivated with a proven record of achieving targets/objectives � Proficient in the use of MS Office applications Desirable Experience: � Bachelors degree in a business/scientific/technical discipline � Full CIPS membership � Proven project management skills � Knowledge/experience of process improvement methodologies � Proficient in the use of SAP In the first instance, please email your CV to Delaney Ditchfield Engineering & Technical Recruitment.
