Description		Our client enjoys a reputation as one of the country's leading consultants to the built, natural and social environment. The Stevenage office is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to work within the Energy Division based in their office. The successful candidate will be responsible for specialist structural engineering design projects from inception to completion in power, industrial and other sectors. The role requires attendance at project meetings, liaising with other disciplines and producing a detailed design and specification to meet with design and construction programmes, design and detailing work appropriate to the project. This may include detailed steelwork fabrication drawings. It also requires contribution to internal management of projects and associated resourcing appropriate to experience and capability. Key Competencies Skills: Sound knowledge of structural design in concrete and steel structures, as well as experience in other structural materials. Computer literate with knowledge of design and analysis programmes Understanding of the CDM Regulations and designers responsibilities Qualifications: Experienced Chartered Engineers (either IStructE or ICE), recently Chartered or near-Chartered Experience: The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate their experience, competency and flexibility to rise to challenging situations and take on responsibility appropriate to their capability.
