LABORATORY TECHNICIAN/ELECTRICAL WIREMAN
ELECTRIC MOTORS
HAMPSHIRE
A Laboratory Technician/Electrical Wireman is now required by our client, the world - leader in the design and manufacture of electric motors and revolutionary new wheel motors for the automotive and allied industries based in Hampshire. In this role you will help engineers maintain good lab practice, coordinating requirements and placing orders through buyer channels or directly with suppliers.
Successful candidates will have experience of setting up a lab with test areas, organised storage, equipment maintenance and handling. You will need prior experience of cable and wiring harness diagrams; production, reading, building and testing; soldering; surface mount up to large power cables; assembly work; cabling, electronics, PCBs, fine mechanics and the ability to read circuit schematics. Some experience of high voltage is also required. Furthermore, you will have good colour vision, be autonomous during daily activity, but take directions from engineers. Computer literacy is also required so that you can use web-based logging systems (Wikis). It would also be useful to have some circuit design ability; CAN knowledge; experience of BLDC motors/generators and power inverters.
