A large blue chip company are looking for a Plant Technician to be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the site effluent treatment plant.

Key responsibilities:

· Maintenance of pumps, valves, pipe work and pneumatically controlled systems
· Preparation of treatment chemicals and routine calibration of pH equipment.
· Working at height, in confined spaces, with hazardous chemicals and outside in all types of weather.
· Heavy manual handling.
· Compliance of all Site and Local, Health & Safety and Security Instructions.
· The job will require shift working, weekend working and working bank holidays.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess previous experience in a similar position within this area of expertise and will preferably be a Time served apprentice in a related field. You will have demonstrated experience of working within a safety critical environment and will be capable of using initiative to problem solve.
