Description		Our client is a renowned and admired process manufacturer enjoying UK dominance and market leading status in their category sector. As a result of sustained business expansion and company restructuring an opportunity has arisen for a Line Team Leader to work a continental shift pattern. This particular factory based in Yorkshire but commutable from Hull and the Midlands, continues to be highly profitable after several years of expansion. Role: The jobholder leads a small team of Operators to effectively run the Coater line and achieve objectives in line with the business operational needs of the company in terms of health, safety and environment, production parameters, quality and customer satisfaction etc. Additionally they are responsible for all shift engineering activities e.g. maintenance, problem solving and improvements. Ensuring that production targets are achieved on time, you will work to stringent cost and quality standards. You will work with the factory planned maintenance system both developing and completing planned maintenance routines and to constantly monitor the effectiveness of the system. Responsibilities: The Successful candidate will be responsible for the organisation of his team, allocating essential tasks to team members. In order to do this an effective level of communication is required between operators, team leader and management. You will have accountability for the recruitment, training, development and assessment of the team to ensure the required skill balance across the shifts. Responsible for recording and monitoring plant maintenance activity in order to provide accurate maintenance costs that can be recorded and allocated across all elements of the plant. Benefits: The role works around a traditional four on four off system (continental shifts) which alternates on a weekly basis between days and nights (12 hour shifts). Salary wise this role, depending on experience ranges from �32500 to �35000 including shift allowance (25%). Holiday allowance is 25 days Other benefits including pension and life assurance will be discussed on interview. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on team leader, who likes the idea of running a successful team while constantly looking at areas to improve efficiency and thus improve the production process. PC and report writing skills are also required. Most importantly, candidates should display excellent interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate good planning and organisational skills have high levels of motivation and flexibility and enjoy working in a demanding environment.
