Description		Maintenance Technician Basic Circa �22,000 The COMPANY Our client is one of the leading manufacturers of photocopier equipment within the UK and is part of a major Japanese Group. The Central Services Division manages logistics activities for UK sales organisations in additional to providing bespoke machine configuration and refurbishment to technically advanced office equipment. The ROLE The company are looking for a multi-skilled electrician to assist their Senior Maintenance Technician in the maintenance of all plant, machinery and facilities on site. �To assist in the maintenance of all plant and machinery on site. �To fault find and repair equipment and machinery. �To carry out portable appliance testing. �To undertake work according to the planned maintenance schedule. �To assist with the installation/ relocation of plant and equipment. �To aid in the installation of power, lighting, telephones, PC's, air layouts and supplies. �To design / manufacture jigs, fixtures, trolleys etc. �To assist in the maintenance of the company's buildings, general site and grounds. �To liaise with outside suppliers and contractors as necessary. �To maintain a safe work area at all times, considering both own and colleagues needs. To complete method and risk assessment statements where applicable �To support the production area in resolving technical / process problems. �To complete permit to work authorisation with sub contractors �To assist in maintaining equipment to ensure �operational ready' conditions �To ensure work is completed within a health and safety framework at all times �To help keep maintenance costs within budget �To be responsible for the upkeep of PAT Test Certificates �Recommends solutions to equipment that is broken down or in need of repair �Advises in the best ways of installation and laying-out equipment �Assists in the design & manufacture of jigs & trolleys The Candidate The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes; �Completion of formal electrical / electronic apprenticeship, or equivalent. �Trained & approved to IEE 16th Edition �At least 3 years multi-skilled experience within the manufacturing industry. �Flexible and willing to become involved in a wide level and range of tasks. �Fault-finding experience on PLC equipment. �Experience of hydraulics, pneumatics and welding.
