Description		Senior Applications Engineer / Proposals Manager Salary: circa �37K Location: Loughborough (Plus International Travel) Senior Applications Engineer / Applications Manager / Proposals Manager / Technical Manager urgently required for my client who manufacture various fuses and parts for the electrical, electronics and transportation industries, plus inductors and transformers for power quality in electronic applications. Due to their expansion they are now looking for a Senior Application Engineer / Applications Manager / Technical Manager to be based at their Loughborough site, but also providing support to international staff and clients. The role: Senior Application Engineer / Applications Manager / Technical Manager / Proposals Manager 1.This position gives technical support to selected strategic key customers within the High Speed product line area. 2.This comprises new product development, custom design iterations, and application service activities. 3.This position is a key person in assuring my client's position by providing technical application services directly to customers and especially OEM's. 4.The candidate will manage the HSF (High Speed Fuse) Technical Applications team and associated activities. 5.Further more the incumbent have to provide technical help and guidance for both internal and external customers through education and application of product and act as support for other team members regarding competitors. Further requirements of the role: 1.Work closely with marketing and sales to develop innovative fuse solutions to key High Speed fuse customers. Build and maintain technical relationships with key OEM customers 2.Developing plans that deliver projects on time and to budget plans utilising global resource. 3.Ensuring that there is cross-functional awareness of project status to ensure projects meet plans. 4.Work together with the Global engineering team to standardise on systems and process to allow effective collaboration across all engineering groups 5.Significant international travel is expected in this role 6.Support and technically train internally and externally 7.Work effectively within a diversely located team and develop suitable systems to support The ideal candidate will have: -Bachelor of science/Master of science within Power Electronics, alternatively, degree level education in either electrical or mechanical engineering or physics -Experience in electrical engineering industry -Management experience -Self driven, pro-active -Demonstrated project management experience -Able to deal with complex problems and communicate solutions confidently to customers -Experience with design of power electronics network -Good PC skills -Good communicator to all levels -Knowledge of the Danish and or German Language would be an advantage This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Applications Engineer / Applications Manager / Proposals Manager / Technical Manager to work for a successful international company for someone looking to develop their career within an electronic industry and have a pro-active �hands on� approach to developing the business, the department infrastructure and its processes.
