Description		Quality Engineer / Quality Technician Salary: �25K Location: Loughborough Quality Engineer / Quality Technician / Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Inspector urgently required by my client who are an engineering company manufacturing circuit protection products. Due to planned and continued expansion they are now looking for a Quality Engineer / Quality Technician / Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Inspector. The Quality Engineer / Quality Technician / Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Inspector will be responsible for:: 1. Assist Process Improvement Manager in the development and implementation of quality/process improvement activities in achievement of annual objectives. 2. Work with Burton Plant component and factored goods supplier base to ensure conformity of goods and services supplied and facilitate relationships in which suppliers consistently improve and add greater value. 3. Conduction of audits of new and existing supplier operations, quality management systems and components/product; both within Cooper Industries and externally (as determined by the Process Improvement Manager). 4. Investigation of internal and external customer complaints and creation of corrective action reports 5. Compilation of supplier evaluation documentation/data for analysis by quality, technical and procurement teams. 6. Actively participate in the company's quality improvement programme, promoting a cultural commitment to improvement principles and stimulating team-based initiatives to reduce the �cost of quality'. 7. Assist development and maintenance of quality metrics appropriate to both local and corporate business requirements. Making information available as required to identify defects and initiate corrective actions of effective improvements. 8. Train and develop Cooper Bussmann team members to ensure continuity of company standards to meet business needs This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful company who have been established for many years, employing over 33,000 employees around the world. The successful candidate will ideally have a Degree or HND in Engineering or a related discipline, Industrial experience within a progressive electrical/electronic assembly manufacturing environment, Detailed knowledge of quality standards, auditing and application of engineering, Good project management skills �including the ability to plan and lead multi-disciplined teams. The Quality Engineer / Quality Technician / Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Inspector will have good problem-solving skills � including demonstrable understanding and usage of methodical approach and quality/improvement tools (e.g. FMEA, SPC, Ishikawa, Kaizen, Quality Circles, Six Sigma), ideally qualified ISO9001:2000 internal auditor and have understanding of QMS and inspection systems.
