My client, based in West Sussex, is seeking an experienced Proposals Engineer to work on the tendering aspect of all product streams along with other diverse projects such as: Heavy Plant, Chemical and Power Based Equipment.

As part of your principal duties you will read and understand tender document specifications, carry out preliminary design calculation, manage price information collection and prepare pre-tender submissions, calling on the services of other engineers or key item suppliers as required
As necessary, you will attend site meetings with clients, clarify/qualify tender submissions, prepare contract hadover and attend handover meetings. You will be required to maintian customer and supplier databases, to keep files on competitive/alternative systems.

Role & Responsibility:
- Develop tender documentation including technical and commercial aspects of the enquiry document.
- Maintain administration and relevant reporting and planning systems.
- Assist in aspects of relevant reporting of management and financial information for the proposals departments.
- Ensure the proposals department complies with all relevant company quality procedures and guidelines.
- Comply with all relevant company and statutory health and safety procedures and guidelines.

Work Experience Requirements:
2 years in a similar position

Educational Requirements:
- HNC in subjects such as mechanical engineering, engineering product design, industrial design, engineering design and manufacture.
