Salary: £35k - £40k per annum

Introduction:

My client is a Leading Marine Engineering company, They specialize in delivering world class Engineering solutions from Initial Design, Build through to Installation, Supplying the Royal Navy along with many other Navies throughout the world, They are now looking for a Technical Requirements Engineer to join their existing Engineering team. The successful candidate will be a qualified Mechanical Engineer along with a proven Technical background along with strong customer facing skills.

Responsibilities:

- The successful candidate will have the ability to interface with multi – departments and be involved with the engineering content of a variety of marine based projects.
- The successful candidate will take responsibility for the engineering content of a variety of marine based enquiries and proposals.
- The prime role will be to interface with and provide technical support to the Marketing Department, including review of technical specifications and creation of technical proposals.
- The ideal candidate should have an awareness of Military environmental requirements, including equipment standards for Shock, Noise, Vibration and hazardous areas.
- Occasional UK and overseas travel may be required.

Applicant Requirements:

- Recognised Mechanical Engineering Qualification or relevant Apprenticeship along with relevant trade qualification.
- Qualified Mechanical Engineer with a minimum 5 years project or design engineering experience in industrial or marine applications
- A good understanding of the Marine / Naval Industry.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines.
- Strong Technical knowledge.
- Problem solving skills
