The Background

A growing risk management consultancy with a strong portfolio of clients within high hazard sectors such as rail, energy, nuclear and water. Due to continued growth and outstanding contracts the company are seeking 2 Human Factors Consultants with experience within a high hazard sector.

The Role

You'll support their HF work in the nuclear (primarily), rail, oil, gas and other sectors whilst adopting a solutions oriented approach to the prevention of major accidents and improvements in performance. You'll use applied HF methods such as task and error analysis, safety assessments, Human Reliability Assessments and interface ergonomics. Other areas you'll be involved include research and consultancy in safety culture, organisational factors and development of associated tools such as web enabled safety culture assessment tools.

You'll have experience within a similar Human Factors role, ideally within one of the sectors mentioned above. Nuclear experience especially will certainly hold you in good stead. You need to be stimulated by a wide variety of project work, keen to work in a small but busy and growing consultancy and enthusiastic about risk management.
