Our ED&S (Electrical Devices & Systems) Division, which is a $400 million global division of ECC (Environmental & Combustion Controls) providing a broad portfolio of leading branded products in electrical wiring devices, circuit protection, cable management and chimes, currently has a requirement for an experienced Project Manager / Program Manager to manage a portfolio of projects based in our head office in Basildon.
The role requires someone with an engineering background who has excellent communication skills
The Role
The successful candidate will be required to meet the following job scope requirements and responsibilities:
• Build, coach & manage successful Project Teams from Project Inception / Concept through Detailed Design to Production Implementation / Project completion.
• Responsible for Project charter definition, process management, documentation and resource allocation planned to deliver the agreed Projects/Programme.
• Liaise with suppliers on matters relating to both Technical & Non-Technical elements of the supplier's scope of delivery.
• Formal and informal reporting of Project/Programme progress to a wide audience, ECC Leadership, ED&S Exec Team, Project Sponsors & Senior Management.
• Effectively manage, prepare and maintain realistic Programme, Project, Quality, Budget & Risk Plans,
• Take personal responsibility for delivery of all aspects of NPI Projects/Programme
• Individual should be prepared for some overseas travel
Qualification / Skills Required
• PMI PMP Certified or prepared to attain this very important professional qualification
• Preferably an Electronics or Electro Mechanical engineering graduate.
• Product Development experience of consumer electro-mechanical products, including the management on both In-House and Sub Contract Project Teams.
• Experience working in a NPI Project's/Programme management role.
• Creative thinker, excellent communicator and influencer.
• Excellent man management skills & effective team player.
• Planning & Risk Management Tools Practitioner
• Structured, methodical and logical approach.
• Must have a 'can-do' attitude.
