Our client situated at their Hampshire facility are looking for electrical commissioning engineers.
Job Specification:
Reporting to the Commissioning Manager you will be required to test and report on various marine systems of two key vessel projects. Candidates must be methodical, innovative and challenging in their working.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- To carry out setting to work and commissioning on marine machinery and associated electrical systems in accordance with test forms.
- Identify and introduce methods and equipment that will improve the commissioning and acceptance process.
- Organise and prepare commissioning documentation.
- Interpret drawings and develop test and commissioning paths.
- Conduct in process, installation, preliminary and final inspections, monitoring and formally signing off remedial action.
- Witness load testing / pressure testing.
- Support factory and goods inward inspection of bought in equipment.
- Co-ordinate inspections with classification societies.
- Carry out audits of commissioning processes, maintain records to ensure documentation is correct and meets ISO 9001 requirements.
- Demonstrate and support positive behaviours within the Commissioning team.
Role Requirements:
- Experience in setting to work, test & trials, and fault diagnosis of various types of Electrical systems / equipment is essential.
- Power and propulsion operator experience is beneficial.
- Experience of Controls.
- Experience of working within Shipbuilding is required.
