Introduction:
Our client, a leading provider of training to the MOD, has an immediate urgent requirement for an Armoured Vehicle Instructor in Bordon, Hampshire.
Working within a military camp you will instruct on all aspects of engineering on armoured/tracked vehicles. You do not necessarily need an instructional background but have the personal attributes to move into this area of work.
Responsibilities:
- The efficient instruction of students, together with the appropriate management of teaching resources, records and accommodation.
- Responsible for the preparation and instruction of the appropriate course material to all students allocated to you.
- Controlling and managing students, training aids and all other instructional resources.
- Instruction by oral, visual and other means.
- Examining, invigilating, marking progress test and setting and marking homework if deemed necessary.
- Preparation of lesson plans, lectures, class work and practical work in accordance with the approved syllabi.
- Advising on periodic reports on the rate of development of each student.
- Keeping up to date by personal study in the matter of new equipment, new techniques, new tools, and new materials etc.
Applicant Requirements:
- Previous relevant engineering background.
- Experience of working with Armoured/Tracked vehicles.
- Qualified to C & G part 3 (or equivalent BTEC/NVQ) standard or higher - Desirable.
- Ability to work using own initiative.
- Confident.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Due to the nature of the job it is envisaged that you will have a previous military background in the Army, Royal Navy or Royal Air Force (RAF).
