Salary: £32,000 + Excellent Benefits
The company:
Our client is now considered as one of the major players within the FOOD/FMCG market place. Having recently moved into a fully automated purpose built facility they provide their unique brand to all major high street outlets. A further maintenance engineer is required to join their existing team in order to ensure the smooth and efficient running of their automated production lines. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join a company that prides itself on its development of staff and offers realistic opportunities to progress through its network of sites across the UK.
The Maintenance engineer role:
Working within a team of both electrical and mechanical engineers you will be required to carry out the planned and reactive maintenance on the various production lines within the facility. This is a varied and challenging role where you will be expected to work on a diverse range of machinery which includes conveyors, sealing machines, water systems, slicing machines, packaging and weighing machines. This is a double day’s position with the opportunity to bolster salary with the excellent overtime rates available at weekends.
Key Skills:
You will be required to have an excellent understanding of an electrical and/or mechanical discipline. Experience of working within the food and beverage (FMCG) sector is preferred although not essential as those from other industries with the drive and ambition to learn and develop within this challenging industry will also be considered. The ability to work both as part of a team and alone is a must in this fast paced environment.
