Mechanical Engineering Drawing/Model Checkers - experience of checking in a design & manufacturing environment - familiar with UK Ministry of Defence (Navy) and General Engineering drafting practices and standards and UK Defence standards - NX and AutoCAD - based Bristol - salary up to £39K

We are looking for Mechanical Engineering Drawing/Model Checkers with long experience of checking in a design & manufacturing environment to join the engineering team at a marine defence company and work in a team on various Defence design & build projects.

The Mechanical Engineering design drawing checker will need to be familiar with UK Ministry of Defence (Navy) and General Engineering drafting practices and standards as well as UK Defence Standards (Materials, Fabrication, Quality etc.)

Candidates should also preferably have:-
• Knowledge of NX and AutoCAD
• A willingness to look beyond the drawing and question how the design intent is met
• The ability to work with drawing originators and Chief Engineers to facilitate improvement of Engineering knowledge and ability within the Engineering Dept

Working in teams who design complex products such as Submarine Weapon Handling and Discharge Systems, the successful candidates’ experience of engineering manufacturing processes and acute attention to detail will prove invaluable to the quality of the final design.
