Mechanical Design & Applications Engineer – Derbyshire

My client are an expanding company within a rewarding and challenging market place. Providing both vacuum & rotary blower products and pumping solutions worldwide.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in an innovative manufacturer of special purpose automotive equipment. They currently have a requirement to recruit a driven and enthusiastic Mechanical biased Design Engineer responsible for developing the next generation of an already successful product destined for the global markets.


Responsibilities

Ascertain customer needs, providing an effective engineering solution via sizing, selection and identification of suitable vacuum pump or pump system depending on application.
2D and 3D Design of pump systems.
Involved in the compilation of BOMs.
Provide technical support internally to all areas of the business and externally to customers and suppliers alike.
Play active involvement in testing, certification and installation of supplied system.
Proactively investigate and carry out research throughout industry as part of continual improvement activities.

Requirements

Educated to HND level in Mechanical Engineering
2 – 3 year experience of working within the Process Industry..
Experience of sizing, selection and costing of process equipment and components.
Design of part and complete process systems.
2D / 3D Cad knowledge
Sound Technical Engineering ability.
Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
Effective relationship builder.
Can work well under pressure

Package

Salary £Negotiable dependant on experience, pension, health care, car provided for external visits
