Umbilicals - Plastics Engineer/Consultant



Our Prestigious Client is a global organisation providing many products and service to clients in the Communications/Utility industries.



Key Accountabilities:

•Responsible for all umbilical systems design approach to applications, all umbilical materials and design (with exception of the umbilical taped bundle and hardware), this includes associated process and lay-up
•Undertake and co-ordinate material failure investigations
•Lead operational and research projects related to plastics materials and their usage

Technical / Professional Expertise and Qualifications Required

•Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Polymer/Materials related discipline

Combination of good mechanical engineering design skills coupled with applied materials and ideally in a hose design and development environment in the oil and gas sector.
Candidates from industries which design and develop hydraulic or reinforced hose would also be on interest.
