Job Title: Engineer Surveyor – Pressure systems
Location: Aberdeen
Salary: £30k - £35k, Car, Pension
An Engineering arm of a global services group currently have an opportunity for an Engineer Surveyor to undertake examinations and inspections of plant and machinery within the Aberdeen region. With expertise with the Marine, Nuclear, Petrochemical and Mining industries, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business.
The role:
As Engineer Surveyor, specialising in pressure systems, you’ll be undertaking thorough examinations, or inspections of steam raising equipment and other plant to ensure that they comply with current regulatory and statutory requirements. The role is based from home with travel across the Aberdeen region to undertake the inspections.
Responsibilities:
- Arranging examinations directly with clients and their staff outlining specific requirements.
- Programming examinations to minimise overdue inspections and to maintain high service standards.
- Produce electronic examination reports in a professional manner with high quality standards.
- Provide, build and maintain excellent client relationships and ensure that all customer service standards are met.
- Assist other Surveyors in these disciplines as requested.
Required skills:
As a strong communicator with the ability to work in a team and individually, you’ll ideally possess an academic qualification in a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering discipline.
You’ll also have a relevant level of practical experience in a related engineering field, preferably with pressure plant or steam raising equipment. A full UK driving licence is required.
