Description		Job Title: Production Supervisor Location: West Midlands Salary: GBP23,000-GBP26,000 Production Supervisor Qualifications / education required: Occupationally qualified in butchery. Preferred Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Ability and commitment to operate in a supervisory role. Duties/Responsibilities a. Ensure resources organised to achieve maximum efficiency to meet Main Job function. b. Ensure technical, engineering and staffing problems are dealt with at the earliest possible stage. c. To be accountable for all materials, undertaking Stock Taking procedure when required at the request of the Shift or Production Manager. Ensure that stocks are used correctly. (In date order). d. Ensure accurate recording/reporting of production information. e. Ensure that staff discipline is enforced, verbally, recorded and initiate corrective/supportive actions. (I.e. Time and Attendance, return to work, personal hygiene, health and safety reqts., Terms and Conditions) f. Ensure consistent monitoring of staff performance, identify/report under performers and initiate corrective actions as per clause (e). g. Maintain accurate efficiency, attendance, timekeeping and holiday records. Report on these as reqd. h. Ensure that Hygiene (personal, plant and equipment) and housekeeping standards are rigorously maintained. I. Deliver Departmental Briefings to department staff. j. Ensure awareness of Health and Safety requirements, identify possible hazards and take action to rectify and prevent potential accidents. Provide a safe place of work. k. Encourage teamwork within department and ensure effective communication at all levels. l. Contribute to the completion of staff reviews when required. m. Record and Report all engineering breakdowns/issues and response times. Working Conditions / degree of effort required Job requires work to be conducted in chilled food manufacture environment, this will entail work in extremes of cold when in chills and freezers.
