Electrical Electronics Engineer to support and develop the new product introduction process and provide technical input & solutions to product validation programs for a diversified technology and manufacturing global leader. An innovative business with a long history of achievement, they are now seeking an Electrical/Electronics Engineer to join a strategic arm of the business that specialise in analytical systems for fire, smoke & gas detection.
The successful engineer's key responsibilities will include:
· Providing technical input to ensure successful completion of project validation programs
· Conduct, supervise and follow up on project FMEA’s
· Provide technical support to regulatory compliance processes
· Develop the use of other predictive analytical DFSS tools such as MTBF & ALT to help maximise the likelihood of new product success
· Provide technical input to the development of electro-mechanical test jigs and equipment to aid product verification
· Assist with maintenance and verification of new and existing product life testing programs
· Develop procedures form and conduct and/or supervise detailed audits
In order to be considered for this role, you will hold a degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics, and possess previous experience of the design, development or validation of electronic based equipment within a light manufacturing environment and have an interest in the use of, and construction of bespoke Electrical/Mechanical equipment for testing and data acquisition. You will also have :
· Experience of programming for automation using VB, C++ , NT Lab View or PIC embedded systems
· Confidence in the use of basic statistical methods and other analysis techniques
· Knowledge able and experience d of formal reliability techniques
