Field Service & Commissioning Engineer urgently required to carry out national and international service, start up, maintenance and commissioning of AC/DC Drives and their associated systems for a company who provide cutting edge control solutions for the Paper, Steel and Oil & Gas industries. The successful Service Engineer will be working for a pioneering business in the application of variable speed drives dealing with a range of equipment including roll feeds, flying cut-offs, rotary cut-offs, web processing and metal press automation.
Based in Buckinghamshire, you will spend approx 50% of your time travelling to Saudi, Kuwait and Algeria with the rest spent servicing equipment throughout the UK or working within the test bay at the main company site.
To be considered for this role you must have heavy drives experience- 5kw to 2mw- and possess a formal qualification within Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering. You must also have solid background of testing, fault finding, repair, maintenance, installation and/or commissioning of high power drives and control systems for process industries. Other knowledge:
· ProfiBus or IntaCat COMMS (Essential)
· Drives calculations, algorithms, sensors (Essential)
· Siemens or Allen Bradley PLC (Desirable)

You can expect a Basic Salary of £25k with an OTE of £40k with Overtime and Offshore Allowances, and you are to be based within the Home Counties/South East region which will be commutable from Milton Keynes, Bedford, Northampton, Stevenage, Luton, Hemel Hempstead, Bicester, Banbury and Cambridge.
