E&I Lead Engineer immediately required on a contract basis to manage E&I partner sourcing and supervision acting as technical authority and quality review for E&I systems. Working for a pioneering business who are a trusted worldwide partner, the successful E&I Lead Engineer will lead all engineering teams associated with core projects.

The primary responsibilities of this role will involve:

· Survey on and offshore site E&I installations
· Assessment of contract labour in terms of technical capability and maintaining tasks to schedule
· Consult, advise and propose E&I solutions, including upgrading of feasibility studies
· Present solutions to customers and develop customer relationships
· Prepare detailed design, test & commissioning procedure and project documentation
· Coordinate E&I design and implementation
· Technical responsibility for detailed design for all E&I deliverables
· Lead and supervise the E&I design team
· Assist sales support with the production of technically and commercially acceptable proposals, tender documents and bid submissions

This position will entail dealing with major capital oil and gas projects; therefore our client is seeking someone with the confidence to deal with important clients discussing the necessity for correct safety systems who has the strength of character to deal with projects through to completion. TUV accredited engineers will be highly desirable.

In order to be considered for this role, you must possess a HNC/HND in Electrical or Instrumentation and Control Engineering with a valid offshore survival and medical certificate. You must also have extensive Oil & Gas control & instrumentation design and engineering experience with significant offshore process control knowledge (DCS applications) and first hand offshore engineering or maintenance operations experience. Other requirements include:

· Experience of operating in an MIV environment
· Man management of E&I design, engineering and commissioning teams
· Good interpersonal skills
· Knowledge of ISO 9001, Health & Safety at Work, IEC 61511/61508 & DCS based control systems

You can expect a pay rate of up to £30 p/h for a 6 month contract duration, and is commutable from Runcorn, Frodsham, Warrington, Widnes, Altrincham, Ellesmere Port, Birkenhead, Liverpool, Bootle, St Helens, Stoke, Chester and Northwich.
