Design Services Manager/Drawing Office Manager immediately required for a leading specialist in the provision of integrated engineering systems and plants for hi-tech industries, particularly within safety applications specifically to the UK's Nuclear sector. Services offered span consultancy, design and studies through to machine/process detail design and manufacture, enabling them to offer complete solutions for unique production processes.

The Design Services Manager will be responsible for the delivery of manufacturing design information, developing and championing the adoption of engineering design tools, systems and standards. You will also manage the CAD Technicians on a daily basis as well as all CAD systems.

In order to be considered for this role, it is essential you possess the following:

· Broad based engineering experience in the design and manufacture of complex mechanical equipment
· Intimate knowledge of drawing principles and standards
· Intimate knowledge of 2D & 3D CAD systems
· Have the ability to customise and configure CAD systems
· Be experienced in the management and control of drawings and management of drawing systems

The following background would also be ideal but not essential:

· Background of Nuclear engineering
· Working knowledge of Inventor and Solid Works
· Experience of electrical CAD packages
· Experience of engineering tools i.e. ANSYS, MathCAD
· Experience of managing design teams
· Resource management and planning skills
In order to be considered for this role, you will need a full UK driving license, have the ability to work away from home for short periods, and you must be able to obtain security clearance.

Please note that all candidates must be willing to undergo the security vetting process. Typically (but not exclusively) this requires that applicants have been resident in UK for the past 5 years and are UK, British Commonwealth or European Economic Area nationals.

Benefits for this role include a basic salary of up to £38k experience depending and Pension scheme, and is commutable from Chorley, Preston, Southport, Bolton, Blackburn, Burnley, Bury, Blackpool and Wigan.
