Description		The Company: Our Client specialises in the provision of planning, design and management services for infrastructure development worldwide. With interests in transportation, water, maritime and property, the company is undertaking commissions in over 70 countries from a network of more than 70 offices. The organisation operates in five key business groups; transportation, water and power, maritime, consulting and property; each operation with its own management team that operates through a global board. To enhance the way they deliver their projects, they invest heavily in the systems to support the clients, and are committed to staff training, quality, and developing appropriate IT infrastructure. The Role: Initial 6 month contract with view to permanent position upon successful completion. As the Senior Highways Engineer you will perform assessment of highways repairs and maintenance of carriageways and footpaths on a variety of major highways improvement and highway maintenance schemes across the Yorkshire region, with some input into project management. This is a hands-on role, producing designs, feasibility studies and maintenance plans to Highways Agency and Executive standards. You work within a team of civil engineers and CAD technicians. You will report to Senior Highways Engineers who will act as a mentor to you, assisting with your professional development. The Person The individual must have: • A recognised civil engineering qualification • Proven skills in highways engineering • Relevant experience within a UK consultancy or Utilities Contractor • Project management skills on highways projects • The ability to communicate your ideas strongly and clearly • An ability and desire to sell the organisation’s consulting services to existing clients
