The Role:

Initial 6 month contract with view to permanent position upon successful completion.

As the Senior Highways Engineer you will perform assessment of highways repairs and maintenance of carriageways and footpaths on a variety of major highways improvement and highway maintenance schemes across the Yorkshire region, with some input into project management. This is a hands-on role, producing designs, feasibility studies and maintenance plans to Highways Agency and Executive standards. You work within a team of civil engineers and CAD technicians. You will report to Senior Highways Engineers who will act as a mentor to you, assisting with your professional development. The Person

The individual must have:

• A recognised civil engineering qualification
• Proven skills in highways engineering
• Relevant experience within a UK consultancy or Utilities Contractor
• Project management skills on highways projects
• The ability to communicate your ideas strongly and clearly
• An ability and desire to sell the organisation’s consulting services to existing clients
