skilled sheet metal worker £12.50ph - Thatcham

The company is a family run company established over twenty years ago, over this time they have specialised in producing Products for the Medical industry, adapting their standard range to accommodate the demands of the growing N.H.S. They now supply most of the NHS hospitals, along with many private hospitals and commercial companies. They also export products to several companies both in and out of Europe.

We are looking for a full time (39 hour per week) sheet metal engineer; the successful candidate will be responsible for the programming however training can be provided.

The perspective candidate will show a high level of finish to their work. Having the ability to work within a small group is essential. You will also be expected to help in the design and development of new products along with general engineering projects.

Programming and Punching
The candidate will ideally be skilled in the use of sheet metal programming and preferably programming package ‘solid works’ the successful candidate should be willing to undertake training on this software.

Press Brake
They currently have an ‘Amada Press Brake’ and a Trumpf press brake. Full training will be given, but previous knowledge of this machinery is preferred.

Spot Welding and General Engineering Skills
As an intrinsic member of the team you will be required to spot-weld, clean various parts of their products, and over see the assembly of the products.
