Position: PROJECT ENGINEER
Location: HUDDERSFIELD
Salary £25000-£32000

Our client who are a leading modern advanced manufacturing company are currently looking to recruit a PROJECT ENGINEER due to continued growth of the company and further investment and development plans.

Job Purpose

·To manage and co-ordinate all key internal and customer specific projects within the business.

Key Responsibilities

Key Tasks:

·To determine the feasibility of proposed customer driven projects and assess the ability of the company to meet customer and company objectives in terms of quality, cost and delivery.
·To plan and organise the necessary resources required for the projects from procurement through to manufacture, inspection, testing, delivery and customer validation of parts.
·To manage projects effective to ensure that the required timescales are achieved and that the associated technical, quality, health & safety and environmental issues are satisfied.
·Compile and maintain the project documentation in line with their Quality System and any Customer specific requirements.
·To utilise the knowledge and skills of project team members and senior management to ensure that new products and processes are validated effectively.
·Communicate and provide regular reports on the progress of company project/s to the project team, senior management, at the project management committee meeting and to customer, if requested.
·To plan resources and schedule for their availability to prevent bottlenecks and delay
·To maintain strong links with the customers, by taking an active role in presenting the Companies technologies and capabilities.

•General quality assurance methods – SPC, FMEA, trials, audits etc.
•World Class Manufacturing Tools – 5s, SMED, Hoshin, Kanban, etc.

Projects:

•Will be responsible for progressing, controlling and monitoring of project(s) and assign responsibility for completing to the required task to the appropriate team member/s.
•Will have overall responsibility for all customer and key internal improvement projects
•Will be required to be either a leader or member of a project team as required
•Will be required to present monthly at the project committee the progress of the project giving a detailed report on the project status, road blocks and project cost
