Working for a prestigous and successful MOD contractor, our client are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to work at our clients pipeline facility near Dundee, Scotland.

Responsibilities:

1. Follow the BIS “Operating, Maintenance and Fuel Quality Procedures” as related to this role at all times.

2. Observe the health and safety procedures as laid down in the BIS Safety Manual and the requirements of the Heath & Safety at Work Act, COMAH and other Statutory Regulations. Undertake role of Incident and or Main Controller in the event of an incident

3. Ensure that all works carried out take full account of the need to protect the Environment. Ensuring that prior to commencing works appropriate precaution to prevent spills / contamination have been but in place and that waste is disposed of in the correct container.

4. Undergo any training / re-training that may be required

5. Issue permits to work, when trained and authorised, to staff, OPA personnel and contractors carrying out work at the depot and associated facilities.

6. Site operations, Day to day running of Linkswood area, covering for all out of hours “call outs Weekend and Evenings”, Overseeing Contractors on site, Site induction to contractors, Tank allocation, Updating Test Equipment records, Writing out advice forms to lab forms and labels for tank sampling

7. Operational Work, Overseeing Operators with daily running of site (Tank changes, Tank Sampling, line samples, starting and stopping pumps, opening and closing valves, interceptor checks, meter readings and setting routes for pipeline movements), Covering operators when they are off sick. Dipping tanks for product and water.

8. Attend to call-outs in accordance with local arrangements.

9. Office/Admin/Ordering/Purchasing


13. Provide site input to reports to client and management.



Skill and Experience;

Experience to include knowledge of COMAH sites and or bulk fuel installations. Oil and Gas or Utility experience.

Mechanical or electrical aptitude.

Computer Literate

Clean Driving Licence

Management of staff.
