Mechanical Design Engineer – Valves – Cheshire - £25-30K

My client are a market leading manufacturer of valves, manifolds, monoflanges & instrumentation products.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a mechanical design engineer to join us in our Cheshire offices.

Reporting to Engineering Manager your role will entail processing production orders from concept through to final assembly and to provide technical assistance through all stages of manufacture.

Responsibilities

Co-ordinate the complete processing of customer orders.
Bills of materials creation and release in accordance with a pre-defined schedules.
Production of machine drawings and X-sectional drawings on ACAD
Identify customer requirements and Produce technical documents to allow compliance
i.e. test procedures,
Technically support Sales enquiries which includes, reviewing of technical documents, proposal of appropriate products, creation of arrangement drawings, technical write-ups for quotations etc.
Perform calculations to support any new designs or changes to existing designs.
Maintaining the design standards filing system and enforcing the user policy.
Checking of other team members work.
Processing of small internal projects under the guidance of the Engineering
Manager.

Requirements

An HNC/HND or degree within mechanical engineering
A good understanding and background within mechanical engineering – more so the process sector – this could include oil & gas, pumps, valves etc..
Live within commutable distance to Knutsford or be willing to relocate.
