Tendering Engineer & Bid Leader to £35k

Mechanically biased Tendering Engineer & Bid Leader now required to be responsible for the controlled implementation and coordination of mechanical engineering tasks associated with the timely submission of winning tenders. You will be working for a respected employer who provides complete solutions for the handling of hazardous materials and has recently secured prestigious new projects within the decommissioning and power generation sectors.

Managing and administering the mechanical engineering estimates, statements of works and scope to tender preparation process, the successful Engineers will provide support to the bid preparation programme completing all contract deliverables in association with all tender team members.

You must have detailed experience of producing mechanical engineering estimates and engineering commentaries with a detailed knowledge of engineering applications, ideally relative to the nuclear and industrial applications. You must also have the ability to determine overall requirements in terms of cost, time, resources and technical content of mechanical design activities. Other specifications include:

· Ability to understand a variety of contractual requirements, client specifications and technical requirements ensuring key issues are adequately catered for in the bid
· Ability to review mechanical design tasks, particularly the design and analysis of mechanisms and mechanical plant, within time, cost and quality requirements
· Working knowledge of electronic data management systems
· Ability to recognise improvements in existing processes and confidence to implements changes as required

Possessing a HNC/Degree/equivalent qualification OR relevant experience, you will demonstrate an ability to undertake technical work with minimal supervision, and a broad knowledge of Health & Safety, failsafe design, CAD & CAE, manufacturing, procurements of mechanical systems & site operations, use and properties of engineering materials, engineering systems, practices & procedures and mechanical systems.

Positions pay a Basic Salary of up to £ 35k with excellent benefits including Pension & Healthcare, and is commutable from Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Dudley, Walsall, West Bromwich, Smethwick, Oldbury, Cannock, Telford, Shifnal, Rugely, Stafford and Lichfield.
