Basic Purpose of Job:
For the Total contract based at Trafalgar House.
Ability to review engineering design drawings and undertake constructability reviews of design.
Ability to visit onshore facilities and offshore installations and discuss with construction supervisors and facilities management the forth coming scopes of work.
Focal Point for resolution of Technical Queries raisded by site construction personnel.
Supervisory and Managerial Duties:
Co-ordinate and direct Construction Engineers, prioritise allocation of work and ensure deliverables are issued in line with planned dates.
Liaise with Construction Supervisors on day to day issues.
Act as Asset Focal Point for liaison for disciplines and Project Engineers.
Main Duties:
Ensure quality of deliverables reflects accurately the scope of work required for implementation at site or offshore.Provide construction input to estimates as and when required.Review design documents and provide constructability input to designs. Produce sequenced job cards, Test and Inspection matrices and complie workpacks which detail all construction activities.
Provide Construction method statements and input to FEED study documents as required. Ensure that Service Orders are raised on Specialist Vendors and that mobilisation dates are scheduled in line with planned dates.
Ensure that all Materials, Tools and Equipment are mobilised in line with planned dates.
Provide input to Asset Plans.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
Education & Qualifications:
• ONC / HNC or equivalent
Trade qualifications and associated competencies
Specific Training / Specialist Skills:
Current survival and medical.
Able to demonstrate previous experience in similar construction positions within a construction phase of a project based contract
Previous experience of estimating and compiling construction work packs
Experience of construction codes and practices
Knowledge of Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations
Knowledge of ISSOW
Experience:
Offshore oil and gas industry.
Full working knowledge of construction avtivities in relation to the relevant Puiping, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrument discipline.
Personal Skills:
• Articulate with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised as part of a team
• Able to supervise and direct others.
Able to work to tight deadlines.
Liaise with external customers at a high level.
