Construction Manager

Successful applicant will take responsibility for the preparation of all documentation for inclusion into technical enquiries, bids and project packages. This will involve estimates of construction costs/man-hours, utilising statistical data and local knowledge. In addition, they will participate with in-house meetings and reviews on aspects such as constructability, design and plot plans, as well as Hazids.

Knowledge and experience
With a minimum of HND in an engineering discipline, applicants will have proven oil & gas experience, knowledge of HSE and, ideally, will have worked in a CDM environment.

Applicant will have a flexible, confident approach and must be able to fulfil assignments on sites or in remote locations in the UK or overseas.

Duties and responsibilities

- Prepare construction HSE plans, site organisations for management teams together with job definitions
- Prepare technical scopes of work and carry out technical evaluations of sub contractors
- Prepare constructability reviews
- Establish and maintain statistical data banks
- Review and maintain company construction procedures
- Evaluate, plan and formulate erection methods for both heavy lifts and erection sequencing of build
- Evaluate and provide assistance with transportation
- Liaise with site teams through the resident managers
- Work on construction sites for defined periods when necessary
- Participate in safety awareness
- Lead the ‘lessons learnt’ culture from a construction perspective
