Assembly Technician vacancy

We currently have a vacancy for a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to expand our assembly team; building sample holders and other devices for scientific applications.

Required Skills

·Time served skilled instrument maker or similar mechanical engineering background.
·Ability to work from CAD drawings, hand-building complex assemblies to close tolerances.
·High levels of manual dexterity required. Some fine wiring assembly also required.
·Experienced in joining processes such as brazing and soft soldering. TIG welding also an advantage.
·Ability to use conventional machine tools.
·Previous experience of assembly for cryogenic applications an advantage.
·Familiarity with helium leak detection techniques would also be beneficial.

Salary will be according to experience. Good working conditions and benefits.
The role is for a full-time, permanent position.
