Our client specialise in the manufacture of bespoke precision-engineered solutions for a wide variety of market sectors on a global basis, and as a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, are seeking to recruit a dynamic, highly self motivated and professional Internal Technical Support Engineer to complement the established and successful team.
As an Internal Technical Support Engineer, you will be tasked with providing the highest levels of technical support and advice to both internal and external customers on a range of filtration systems, responding to technical sales enquires from customers, distributors, internal sales and Field sales staff and preparing and issuing associated quotation documentation (using Lotus Notes Database).
You will also give first tier technical support and be responsible for coordinating retail prices and product information from divisions and answering all technical and pricing queries, whilst undertaking occasional customer visits (a full driving licence is therefore a prerequisite) as and when required. Additionally, previous experience with filtration products is essential although training and development on company specific filtration products within the portfolio will be given.
You will produce associated BOM information when required and will maintain an accurate part numbers database, whilst providing training and motivation to fellow team members and proactively encouraging lean activity and driving continuous improvement.
Primarily tasked with the provision of tier 1 technical support, you will ensure that customer service levels are maintained to the highest standards and that all administrative work in connection with technical queries, order handling, telephone enquiries and quotations are dealt within an orderly and constructive manner. You will ensure that all price calculations are in line with Corporate guidelines and will support and advise the external sales teams at all locations within the group whilst continually updating associated technical documentation and a product portfolio of both internal and competitor product offerings.
To be considered for this diverse and challenging role, you will demonstrate at least 2 years experience gained within a pneumatic systems or components environment, along with proven experience of working within a technical sales support environment. You will be an effective planner and organiser with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team, with knowledge of CAD and J D Edwards mainframe computer skills proving distinctly advantageous.
You will hold a full driving licence and be flexible in travelling throughout the UK with occasional overnight stays required.
