The roles available may involve some of the following:
Delivery of product focused projects.
Concept generation to a high standard.
Detailed theoretical analysis of a wide range of concepts.
Design and build prototypes and test rigs of chosen concepts.
Identification and specification of experimental and test programs to evaluate technologies.
Analyse test results, summarise findings and communicate to other members of RDD including senior managers and directors.
Liaising with development teams to ensure effective transfer of technology into future product range.
Identifying potential research areas that would benefit new technology development.
Reviewing with James Dyson and/or Executive team, as required.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience required:
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering, design or science discipline.
Experience of general engineering, design, scientific physical principles and/or electronics.
Good analytical and problem solving ability, capable of assessing technologies and products using a variety of methods.
Able to translate and communicate technical information to project/research teams, managers and directors as required.
Identify and specify experimental programmes to evaluate technologies to generate a clear end benefit.
Able to complete statistical analysis of results whilst summarising findings and making recommendations.
Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment.
Persistent nature coupled with an inquisitive approach.
Good organisational skills with the ability to plan ahead and prioritise tasks.
Clear logical thought and attention to detail.
