Packing and Despatch Operative

We are currently looking for a Packing and Despatch operative to join a busy manufacturing company based in Essex.

Reporting to the Packing and Despatch Supervisor main duties will include:

• Operating Packing Plant
• Movement of goods and skips by Fork Lift Truck
• Inspection and defect reporting on equipment
• Ensuring pallets are removed from palletiser
• Conducts safety checks
• Bulk loading of lorries
• Maintenance of plant
• Fire Marshall duties
• To maintain the necessary records for noting operational, quality, safety and environmental information

The ideal candidate will hold an engineering qualification and come from a production/manufacturing background. A Fork Lift licence and Reach, Counterbalance licence will also be required for this role.

The salary pays circa £20K with company bonuses available on top and the role will be working 37.5 hours per week.
