Job Description
Graphic Design Engineer – Norwich
3-6 month contract
Description of the Job
Working within our busy Development Department, this person will use Windows-based software applications to create graphics and animations and build computer-delivered materials.
Job Activities
The activities undertaken will include:
1.Creating graphics, animations and video content.
2.Building computer-delivered materials using Microsoft PowerPoint and our in-house editing tools.
3.Using a range of Windows-based software packages that are standard issue within the Development Department.
4.Following test procedures to check assembled materials.
5.General day-to-day activities within the Development Department, including general housekeeping disciplines.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
1.Managing your own work under the supervision of the Development Manager and Product Development Director, with the support of other members of staff.
2.Ensuring that the job activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
3.Ensuring that all duties are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety regulations as detailed in the Company rulebook.
Person Description
The person carrying out this role should have :
1.A recognised qualification in graphic design and/or previous experience in a graphics role.
2.The ability to use Windows applications to fulfil the requirements of the job activities. These will include Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, and in-house editing tools.
3.A high standard of literacy and numeracy.
4.An enthusiastic, flexible, self-motivated approach and a willingness to learn new skills.
5.Good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate well with people at all levels.
6.The ability to plan their own activities and prioritise workload without close supervision.
7.An organised manner and the ability to work effectively - either individually or as part of a team.
8.A close attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines, sometimes under pressure, while maintaining set standards.
9.The ability to follow formal procedures and work within a structured Quality Management System.
