Electric Systems Division

Primary Purpose of the position
To provide Quality Assurance support to Operations for issues arising, facilitation of detailed investigations, RCCA’s, lessons learnt, ESS effectiveness, required action implementation and reporting findings and preventative actions to the customer (both internal and external).

MAIN ACTIVITIES
To ensure exceptional level of support to Operations in problem solving and continuous improvement at all stages of the investigation process from notification of a problem to closure by acceptance of investigation findings and actions taken.
To act as the focal point for the Site Quality Clinic, ensuring the established processes are followed and multi discipline teams are used for problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
To support and promote the use of continuous improvement tools within the Business, with emphasis on continuous improvement of Quality processes and procedures.
To negotiate/utilize business resource as required, as determined by individual investigation needs.
To ensure that appropriate containment and preventative actions are taken.
Analysis of investigation findings and internal feedback of lessons learnt.
Trend analysis and consideration on the impact on the supply chain, design, manufacturing or customer.
To ensure that the investigation is fully documented at all stages.
To provide advice and assistance to all staff as required in Quality related matters
Principal Accountabilities
To ensure that Quality Clinic submissions / turn backs are managed in a timely manner.
To ensure that Quality Clinic submissions / turn backs are monitored throughout the investigation process.
To ensure that containment and preventative action is effective.
To ensure that lessons learnt are fed back to appropriate areas of the business.
To ensure that investigations are closed out with an investigation report / submission.

Skills Required:
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
Proven experience in use of Quality Tools: eg. Problem solving, 5S, RRCA, VSM, Visual Management, Kaizen, 8D, Fishbone
Can do attitude
Ability to work on own initiative
Degree qualified in an appropriate Engineering subject.

Previous Aerospace/Automotive / Safety Industry experience an advantage.
