Our client is recruiting a Materials Team leader to control and co-ordinate all activities of Materials area and the warehouse’s operations in an efficient, fair and equitable manner

Responsibility for stock of semi-finished products & finished goods at the company warehouse.
To maintain stock of highest accuracy and quality by putting adequate procedures in place and constantly improving them
To maintain high standards of housekeeping
To carry out any fair and reasonable duty inside or outside their direct area of responsibility
To allocate the work of the people in the materials department.
To ensure downtime related to warehouse problems is minimised
Maintain a record of hours and holidays for warehouse employs and ensure sufficient cover is available.
To develop and train the employees within the departments and to train generally forklift truck drivers
To promote our philosophy of Continuous Improvement/Total Quality Management together with the company Vision and Principles
Responsibility for a FIFO system of material movements in the warehouse
To ensure compliance to QS-9000, 5S Mentality
To implement permanent inventory within SAP
To change warehouse work transactions by means of SAP
To update all necessary KPI s
Up to date records of forklift costs, useage and repairs
To have availability of Radio hand held terminals and contingency for their breakdown.
Packaging controls inward and returnable
Vehicle logging
Physical Inventory Stocktaking.
Ensure the smooth running of production & limiting any downtime to a minimum.
To be able to be flexible regarding working hours as & when business requirements are needed.
To liaise with all departments with regard to any material issues.
To lead team of material operators in order to ensure the running of an efficient Materials department.
To ensure all goods in deliveries are to the company processes

The ideal candidate will be physically fit with a professional attitude and smart appearance. They will possess fundamental experience in warehouse management with supervisory experience and a relevant recognised qualification.
