Technical Installation Manager - Heating / Heat Pumps

Technical Installations Manager required leading the Heating Division of a renewable energy company based in the North West with a current turnover circa £10M. They currently offer a variety of renewable energy solutions including heat pumps, solar thermal, solar PV and biomass systems to the domestic and commercial market.

Technical Installations Manager Position Overview
The successful Technical Installation Manager will be responsible for providing field based training to the current heating division as well as looking for ways to improve the efficiency of the heating installation teams. They will also be responsible for recruiting and training any new members of the heating division.

As the Technical Installation Manager you will be the final point of contact for any escalation of problems or queries so proven fault finding and end user experience is required, site surveying experience would also be beneficial to enable effective management of the heating division surveyor.

You will also be expected to develop the Biomass and Solar Thermal side of the business to capitalise on the government schemes available ensuring the division are inducted onto courses and suitably trained to enable trouble free installations.

Advising on any certification, association or body memberships that would develop the company’s presence in the industry.

The position will have UK travel with some overnight stays; the other days will be spent working from a home office.

Technical Installations Manager Position Requirements
Proven experience in the heating and renewable energy sector

Knowledge of the RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive)

Previous experience with surveying, man management and running installation teams
Full driving licence
