Job Position: Test & Process Validation Engineer

Job Description:

This position is located in the Transmission Assembly Facilities responsible for introductions for the UK and India.

The Test and Process Validation Engineer will support New Product and provide long term planning for all test stands and process gates in the UK and India.

Qualifications/Experience:

Degree in mechanical/electrical/manufacturing or quality engineering.

Some relevant engineering experience in the areas of test / development, product design or transmission / engine controls. As a test engineer, technician or quality engineer.

Knowledge of transmission function and hydraulic and electro-hydraulic controls systems.

Strong Interpersonal skills including teamwork, judgment, initiative, dedication, communication

Strong organizational and planning skills.

Strong customer focus.

Program solving with 6 Sigma experience.

Responsibilities:

Working with product engineering groups, equipment vendors and manufacturing associates to provide test and process validation facilities that enable processes consistent with lean manufacturing principles for transmission and drive train product.

Work within a team to develop a robust and capable process and continuously reduce test cycle times while maintaining the quality and integrity of existing test processes

Develop and improve standard work, safety risk assessments, and work element sheets for the In Process Validation Process's.

Enable us to deliver maximum value to its' customers by providing production and process validation systems that enable us to safely produce quality transmissions on time and on budget.

Training in bespoke systems and processes will be provided, but travel may be required (less than 25%)

Salary/Rate: £26953 - £33691
