Job Summary: Leader for implementation of RoHS/REACH Program
Provide guidance for program and aid in the implementation of corporate initiative.
Qualifications/Experience:
Essential:
Engineering/Business degree or equivalent
Some experience in electronics manufacturing
Good understanding of RoHS/REACH legislation.
Some supplier quality experience.
Experience of ISO9001:2008
Desirable:
Some experience in a similar role
Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)
Essential job duties and responsibilities:
Co-ordinate the company implementation of the corporate initiative
Compliance with the legal/corporate standards for RoHS/REACH
Update/provide new written procedures to ensure continued compliance with corporate initiative
Provide technical support for Purchasing/Engineering/Supply Chain
Provide input to and represent the company on the corporate Product Compliance Council.
Initiate supplier surveys - provide support for suppliers (including training)
Monitor survey results and instigate corrective actions as required.
Audit suppliers as required, generate audit reports and determine corrective actions as required
Subsidiary Elements:
Support the Engineering Manager in the establishment of the RoSH/REACH Program.
Provide contact point for external RoHS/REACH enquiries
Liaise with senior staff where required.
Follow best practice at all times
Assist with the introduction of modifications/new products, ensuring compliance with RoSH/REACH at all times
Assist with training requirements for training of shop floor staff where required - new and on-going - also assist with any other product training for other members of staff.
Assist with the ISO integration of the control procedures and processes for RoSH/REACH compliance.
Take a proactive approach to resolving problems and work both on own initiative and as part of a team.
Demonstrate a clear understanding of RoHS/REACH requirements
Work with all other team members in an effective and efficient manner and provide backup and assistance where necessary, including holidays and sickness
If required to work on x-ray assembly, observe all necessary health and safety rules and regulations.
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
Excellent computer skills, including, but not limited to Windows,, Office, Visio, Project etc.
Ability to organise and prioritise workloads
Ability to act on own initiative, dealing with unexpected problems that arise.
Ability to communication both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels.
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work within a team environment
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Office or Manufacturing environment.
