Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
Essential:
Administrator level experience of Project Management Software.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office - specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Must have good judgment, planning and interpersonal skills.
Proven problem solving / issue resolution capability.
A team player, with experience of interacting with people from diverse technical and cultural backgrounds.
Desirable:
Experienced in the use of MS Project &/or Primavera.
Working knowledge of New Product Introduction and/or other project gateway governance e.g. Six Sigma.
Role Purpose and Overview:
The Project Planning & Control team is a dedicated team, (based in the Product Centre in Cambridgeshire).
This role provides excellent opportunities to become engaged in the key work streams to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and other major projects throughout the product lifecycle - being able to provide leadership, direction and shape to the future development of this dynamic global organisation.
The main purpose of the Planning Facilitator is to drive planning with cross-functional teams, and administer the planning control process, to accurately track of the delivery key milestones and highlight any potential slippages to the project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Management of the Planning Control Process, including processing team members updates to the plan and issue resolution.
Facilitation of cross functional Project Planning Workshops.
Performing "what if" analysis on project plans in order to make recommendations to project team leaders / teams to keep projects on schedule.
Communications with teams to ensure all departments understand their requirements at a project and business level.
Establishing, communicating and facilitating the resolution of critical path issues and conflicts.
Lead, coach & facilitate the project team through the project planning process; building commitment to the plan.
Creation of the Project Charter including scope definition and programme objectives.
Creation of plan structures, initial WBS and Network Diagrams.
Creation of project related reports, defining custom reports & filters.
Key Relationships:
This role involves working with many different departments across the Enterprise - becoming an integral service provider to the NPI / Project teams across multiple geographical sites.

Salary/Rate: £28,000 to £32,000
