SENIOR ENGINEER - NEW PROJECTS UP TO £45000 + BENEFITS - BRISTOL

An opportunity has arisen at our international blue chip Aerospace company within the Global Chief Engineering Office for an engineer in both design and analysis disciplines, to support the Chief Engineer - Bids.

The Global Chief Engineering Office provides support to the Engineering teams across the sites in all business units. The workload covers the full product life-cycle from concept to certification, series production, in-service support and disposal. The contract life-cycle involvement covers bids, product development and support and airworthiness.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the CE in the above activities through the reviewing of customer documentation, participation in bid reviews and discussions on processes development, and preparation of supporting documentation for each of these as directed. During the technical evaluation process the candidate may be required to develop the technical solution alongside the site engineering teams.

Therefore a working knowledge of standard aerospace toolsets (CATIA for design engineers, Mathcad/NASTRAN/PATRAN for stress engineers) will be required. They will also assist in the co-ordination of a robust network of site contacts to ensure support is given to any proposal that requires it, wherever the location. This will enable the Engineering Bid Team to provide accurate and robust reporting into the business.

The candidate must have extensive knowledge in the Microsoft suite of programs; in particular efficiency in Excel, Word and Powerpoint are mandatory while Project and Visio are preferable.
