Sales Manager
A Sales Manager, with a strong background in the Oil & Gas industry, is required by my client who has supplied equipment to the oil, gas and petrochemical industries for over half a century. As a leading international supplier in their market sector, their global facilities provide the largest dedicated systems integration capability for the oil and gas industry. There is also a multi-disciplinary engineering group, providing expertly design and manufactured solutions along with the front end and life cycle support services.
The primary role of the Sales Manager will be to manage and grow the sales within the North Sea market from zero. Focused initially around the Aberdeen market, it will be essential for this candidate to effectively manage their sales team but also to undertake direct sales them self.
The work undertaken will be:
*Identification and development of new business
*Management of existing business, including the growth of existing customers to ensure sustainability and growth of sales and margin
*Obtain and convert suitable enquiries into profitable orders to meet the requirements of the business plan.
*Assist with Annual Business Plan for the region
*Agree, monitor and evaluate realistic objectives for the Agents, whilst understanding the business capability in supporting those objectives.
*Conduct sufficient sales calls to keep the company's profile within the industry
*Co-ordinate and liaise with the proposal department
*Coordinate budget bids to clients
Key deliverables of the role will be:
*To achieve sales in region delivering the sales performance in the business plan
*Develop sales opportunities to a value of 5 x Forecast territory Turn Over in Year 1
*Plan and execute visits to all key customers in the territory in Year 1 to make company presentations, follow up project leads and generate new enquiries
*Investigate and produce market reports on the North African and Scandinavian markets
*Visit all existing agents in the territory and set up and monitor an agent reporting and management system
*Work with the MD and BD Director to appoint agents
*Submit sales visit plans on a monthly basis
*Submit detailed sales visit reports
*Produce sales status report for presentation
The successful candidate will:
*Ideally have a strong background or knowledge in Produced Water Treatment
*Hold an engineering degree in a relevant discipline
*Will have a strong profile in the Aberdeen market place, with an extensive network of contacts
*Have previously sold with PWT or other top side products & equipment
*Have a solutions based approach
This is a permanent position, based in Aberdeen with travel required. It will offer an excellent salary and benefits package.
