Project Engineer

Our client is looking for a Project Engineer who has a number of years' experience in mechanical/electrical or electro-mechanical design work to facilitate in driving their R&D programme as well as manage custom project work

Requirements

Experience of 3D CAD preferably SolidWorks/AutoCAD
Sound knowledge of mechanical principles
Project Management Experience
Formal qualification is required (HNC/HND/Degree) in an engineering discipline.
Some experience of instrumentation would be ideal although not essential.
An understanding of FEA would be advantageous

Job Description

Working with the existing engineering teams to drive current and future R&D projects
Work to refine and improve production processes
Working with the sales/application team on custom projects, with responsibility for full product life cycle from concept through to manufacture
Manage external development activities
Provide Support for production design engineering as required
Multiple project management
Negotiate and communicate effectively with suppliers and customers
Travel to customer sites (occasionally) for problem solving
