Manufacturing Engineering Manager

My client is one of the world's leading packaging companies based in the Central Belt of Scotland operating from multiple sites. They are renowned for being a first class employer in their global market place with the emphasis on quality, talent development and brand development. The existing Manufacturing Engineering Manager is being promoted into a global role and as a result this role has now become vacant.

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for the management of project engineering activities within the manufacturing environment ensuring all engineering activities are planned and deployed to support the operation of the business.

This is a broad role and to be successful, candidates should have experience in :

Managing an engineering team and continually striving towards continuous improvements
Developing financial plans to support the business programmes
Delivery of sites services and maintenance within a manufacturing environment
Supporting COMAH initiatives and standards in accordance to regulatory requirements
Managing and co-ordinating key CAPEX projects to improve business performance
Supporting Global teams in strategic projects
Supporting and collaborating with EHS teams ensuring compliance to legislative and company standards
Working closely with operations teams in relation to design and implementation of manufacturing processes including equipment and systems You will ideally be qualified to HND level or above in an engineering discipline with a proven track record in a similar role within a Packaging or FMCG environment.

This is a key role within the business, with outputs that impact at a strategic level for the business. It is a high profile role with the ability to influence across the group whilst managing a team and having input into the site business activity.
